Worried about losing your license? Too many points on your license? Call 310-207-4005 to discuss your legal options. Acquiring points on your license can occur in many ways including:

  • Causing a motor vehicle accident while you were driving
  • Driving with a suspended license
  • Driving without a license due to refusing a DUI test
  • Hit-and-run
  • Moving violations/traffic tickets

The above represent a brief overview of the many ways DMV points can be added to your license. For a more detailed discussion of DMV points in California, call the Law Offices of Elena Mebtahi. We serve clients throughout Southern California and people outside the area who need local legal help. Driver's License Points can Have Serious Consequences

Having too many points on your license can lead to a loss of your license for a considerable amount of time and will lead to higher insurance premiums. Depending on the infraction you are accused of, you may get one, two or more points added to your license. If you get more than four points in a year, more than six points in two years or more than eight in three years, your license will be suspended by the DMV for six months. A suspended license will make driving, in any capacity, illegal.

There are alternatives, however. Attorney Elena Mebtahi may be able to review your entire driving record and determine if pre-existing points on your license were justified. She will look at the facts of your current situation as well and determine if you were not in violation of the California Vehicle Code at all. Or she may be able to have your charges reduced to a level that does not result in points being added to your license.

Because your case is unique, contact an attorney as soon as possible to discuss the details and the options available for your specific situation.

What We Do

What Our Clients Say

“I had an arrear that State of California was collecting for the children that were not my biological children. I had gone to court back and forth to fighting it, I saw few lawyers but they turned me down saying nothing can be done. Since last 13 years the State of California has already garnished my pay check and then my disability check and collected over $100,000 still their amount i owed did not go down. The amount they collected was applied to just the interest. I have 4 minor biological children and one of them is with special needs. Ms Elena Mebtahi took my case in February of this year and with her strong presentation in the court had it reduced by 85%. I am so very thankful to her and will recommend her to all my friends and family. ”
